No Cost of a Call to a User

ECA Electronic Engineering is the first company in the world to introduce a GSM Access Control System that includes a wireless intercom. The GSM-18 is part of the next generation of gate automation systems manufactured by ECA Electronic Engineering in Australia.

This system allows up to 1000 registered users to operate any garage door / gate with their mobile phone or regular phone with no cost of a call to the user – Absolutely Free of Charge!

Simply dial a nominated phone number for your gate from any phone or mobile-phone and the gate will open without any cost of a call to you.

In addition the GSM-18 has an intercom interface in front of your gate that includes a speaker, microphone and a “Call” push button. When the “Call” push button is pressed by a visitor (at the gate), the system will call the owner’s phone number automatically allowing him to speak with the visitor. The owner can open the gate and let the visitor in by pressing one of the buttons on his mobile phone.

Features of GSM Access Control System with a Wireless Intercom

Access control system – Automatic Mode

The GSM-18 can be programmed with up to 1000 phone numbers to be as users (any land line or mobile phone number that its ID number is not confidential). When one of these numbers (phones) will call the nominated phone number of the GSM-18 unit, the system will recognize his ID number (phone number) and open the gate if it is an authorized number. The unit allows the end user to add and delete users from the system individually.

Access control system – Password mode

The GSM-18 can be programmed to operate with a “Password” mode. In this mode, the system will answer any incoming call and enable the caller to key in 4-digits pin-code number. The system will operate the gate to open if the right pin code is keyed in. The caller can make three attempts before the system hangs-up his call.

Service free – Access control system

This smart access control system can be programmed with a “Master” phone number which will enable to access the unit from anywhere and allow him to maintain the system. The “master number” can phone the GSM-18 and delete or add any user from the system without the need of accessing the unit on site, making it – Service Free.

Programmable functions

The unit has an internal relay with voltage-free outputs (Com. N.O. & N.C.) that can be used to operate any gate, garage door, alarm and other appliances. One out of two functions (Pulse or Latch ) can be chosen to activate the internal relay when the system receives an authorized call.

Wireless Intercom

This sophisticated access control system also has the option for an add-on intercom interface which can be installed outside the property next to the gate as a wireless intercom system. When the call button is pressed on the gate, the GSM-18 will dial out the house phone number and inform the owner about the visitor at the gate. The owner can answer the call and speak to the visitor and open the gate with one of the buttons of his phone if he wishes to let the guest in.

Security Lock Statues

The end user can dial the GSM-18 unit and check if the gate is open or close. The system will allow the user to close or open the gate form his phone or lock the system to be used by any of the authorized users.
